Sharing Your Music in Facebook Groups

Sharing Music in Facebook groups

In this blog I would like to discuss sharing your music in Facebook groups and group etiquette.

Facebook groups for independent recording artist can make a great tool to utilize in the promotion of your original content. In this blog I would like to share the following information based on my experience in several Facebook communities. Facebook is one of the top traffic sources to my website and YouTube channel and the majority of that traffic comes from content that I share in Facebook groups.

One way that I use to promote my brand in Facebook groups is video sharing. Not just the sharing of links to my videos on Facebook and YouTube but actually shooting a video of me checking out a fellow group members post and giving my true opinion on it. I don’t do this with music that I myself would not enjoy because I prefer not to film myself leaving negative feedback. This strategy helps fellow group members remember me in the long time. I build a natural rapport with other independent recording artist and they remember me for the love that I show and return the love it’s a great strategy to use.
